Setting Goals - 3 Amazing Goals I have set for 2015

There's so many bridal, wedding, workshops, meet-ups, wedding planner brunch/lunch functions coming up this year. I love to be very active in my business and participate and attend a lot of events. I will discuss 3 Goals I have set this year; which one includes a fun personal vacation!

#1 Goal:
My first goal for 2015 is to continue to participate in the weekly Twitter Chat.  I will continue and plan my calendar around these particular chats (set my phone alerts to remind me).  These chats are fun, educational, and a perfect time to communicate with other wedding professionals. I currently, participate on Wednesdays, and Sundays. I have met some awesome wedding planners and professionals via Twitter. I have even had a few support me when I host my own networking events. Participating in my swag bags, sponsoring prizes/giveaways.

#2 Goal:
My second goal....I have a goal to sign up for a educational program. A program that is specific to wedding planners, small business owners, ect... Education is key, and I want to continue to learn more about improving my business. I want to present the best services, products, ect to my clients. I'm currently shopping around for the best educational program to sign -up for!

#3 Goal:
Lastly, my 3rd Goal is to plan a vacation for the Summer 2015 during my birthday week. I love to rent out the awesome beachhouses in Tybee Island, Georgia. It's a lot of attractions, restaurants, beach activites, water sports, and more! I will begin now looking for a beach house to reserve ( it's a great idea to start early before they are Sold Out)! I will plan all the activites in advance as well. I want to stay for 7 days; relax, and have a ton of fun! I have been before in the past several times; but this time I want to try things I never have before!

How to Plan a Romantic Staycation

A staycation is a option where couples can stay in their own city or town, and vacation. Perhaps, book a local Bed & Breakfast, Hotel Room, or Spa & Lodge.

Here in Georgia there are lots of mountains, cabins, cottages, lodges, beaches, beach houses, villas/condos, beach/resorts, and so many options for a staycation.

The option or endless, you just have to get creative and talk with your significant other. Make plans to enjoy your own city and town.  Think about places you always wanted to go or heard about (romantic places).

Here are 3 tips on, how to plan a romantic staycation.

#1) Choose the location - the location is everything, think about where you want to go. Perhaps, it's a hotel, bed & breakfast, ect... once you decide, call and make the reservations. Also, asking about romance packages, a la carte services. Consider asking about turn-down services, champagne and chocolates, butler services, spa/massage, ect...

#2) Choose the activities ... ask the about complimentary shuttle services (if available) perhaps there are some restaurants in the area. Look online for local events, festivals, and activities. Make reservations to have a romantic breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Inquire within where you are staying and see if it's a restaurant within the place.

#3) Add in the romance - plan to spend quality time together.  Add in a special touch ( write a love letter before your staycation). Give your significant other the love letter during your stay. Download your slow music music on your iPod, laptop, tablet, or smart phone (love songs).   Bring a camera and snap quick pics of each other ( don't use your cell phone camera). Have un-interrupted conversations (stay off your phone while spending time with each other).

Tip: While you are away enjoying this time together start making plans for the next getaway, or Staycation. This makes planning exciting, and gives you two a opportunity to brainstorm together.

Surprise Getaway to Callaway Gardens

~watching the water fall~
Seeing this waterfall inside the gardens was so peaceful ....I just had to capture the water falling....

This flower caught my eye! I just loved the color.......

This is one of the first flowers we saw as we walked into the gardens...

Pretty flowers

I would love for my yard to look like this ....very pretty!

Look at all those bananas in that tree!

~The Beach~

I had to take a picture of this! This was a sight to see...some young guys had buried this boy in the sand...I just thought WOW look at all that sand on top of him!

My foot prints in the sand...It was nice walking on the beach, I stopped and pressed my feet into the sand.
These are a few pictures I captured from the surprise vacation I planned! It was really nice~

I surprised my honey and planned a weekend in Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, Georgia......they have great affordable packages too! http://www.callawaygardens.com/
Oh it was hot when we went (95 degrees) whew! The first day we arrived we did a 2 hour bike ride, I haven't been on a bike in almost 13 years ....it took some time for me to adjust. We fed the fish, and turtles while we were on the trail. We stopped at the Butterfly Gardens, ohhhh I love butterflies it was amazing...we rode our bikes to each garden (we rode at least 10 miles altogether) it was a long stretch between each garden (you do have the option to drive)....we walked along the beach and had dinner later that evening at the hotel. Then after dinner we had a late night swim at the swimming pool right outside our hotel room.

This was a refreshing getaway to Callaway Gardens located 70 miles outside of Atlanta, Georgia. It is so much to do there from golf, paddle boats, bike trail, beach, swimming pools, beautiful hotel rooms, butterfly garden, the heritage center, and more......

If you live in the Georgia area or planning on coming anytime soon this would be a GREAT getaway. Hope you enjoyed the pics! Have a sweet day!
